ACCIS elists

ACCIS members can opt-in to the Members-only elists. The elists are only available to active members. There is NOT a digest option at this time.

ACCIS has several elists which are open to the entire membership, but focus on the questions and concerns of counselors, office assistants, new college counselors, or new directors. We also have affinity elists which require confirmation to join; more information found below.

Already an active ACCIS member? Then scroll down to the green text. Directions to search for prior messages to an elist are at the bottom of the page.

First, you need to be sure you're an active member. Login to your ACCIS member profile top right of screen.

If you have a new counselor OR office assistant on your staff who don't yet have their own ACCIS online accounts, the primary contact can begin the new member set up process. Primary school contacts can use the New Member Profile Request form to add either college counselors or office assistants. New member accounts must be validated manually; thank you in advance for your patience while your account is activated.

To subscribe:

  • Login to your ACCIS member profile top right of screen.
  • Click on "View or update your profile" to the left and below the nametag icon.
  • You'll see two tabs under the header bar -- hover over the tab for "My Features" and select "E-lists" in the dropdown menu.
  • Select the elist  and click "on" to subscribe and "on" for "email delivery."

The ACCIS Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee has established two affinity e-lists for members. These are intended to serve as safe, supportive spaces for members who identify with specific affinities; these are not for allies and advocates, and are for people of color and for LGBTQ+ counselors. It is our hope that these e-lists will be a means of connection and serve subscribers in the following manner:

  • Provide a supportive and safe space to share experiences among members of similar backgrounds
  • Support successes and challenges as professionals within independent school communities
  • Create community and empowerment
  • Find allyship within ACCIS and broader school communities
  • Share programs and best practices by our college counseling departments related to issues of diversity and inclusion
  • Address how our allies can better support us and how to share this news with the larger ACCIS community.
  • Provide a means to share challenges and receive feedback
  • A place to discuss, share, nurture and celebrate

To preserve the safety and integrity of this space, we respectfully ask that you only request to join either of these new elists if you identify as a person of color and/or an LGBTQ+ person. This is not a space to learn about these identities or for allies or advocates.

In order to subscribe to either or both of the Counselors of Color or LGBTQ+ affinity e-lists, please complete this short form. New subscribers will be manually added and we thank you for your patience until you receive your confirmation message. Only members who have been added to the elist(s) will be able to send or receive messages.

To post a message on the Counselors of Color elist, send your message to CoC_Elist(at)
To post a message on the LGBTQ+ elist, send your message to LGBTQ_Elist(at)
